Robert Ward ( 1917 - 2013 ) was an American composer. His studies included the Eastman School of Music, Juilliard School and the Berkshire Music Center with Aaron Copland. Although he is best known for his Crucible opera, his piano compositions include a Sonatine and a Concerto.
