Theodor Fürchtegott Kirchner ( 1823 - 1903 ) was a German composer. He wrote over 1000 pieces and was respected by his colleagues which included Schumann, Brahms and Liszt. Despite this, most of his works are quite unknown and not part of frequently recorded or performed repertoire.
