Alexander Siloti ( 1863 - 1945 ) was a Russian composer. As a conductor he premiered the Rachmaninov Concerto No. 2 with Rachmaninov himself as the soloist. His status and reputation resulted in many works being dedicated to him. He is most know for his Transcription of Bach's Prelude in B Minor, BWV 855 which was championed by the renowned pianist Emil Gilels.
