Percy French ( 1854 - 1920 ) was an Irish composer. He studied at Trinity College Dublin and wrote several songs. In addition to music he was well respected for his watercolor paintings. His most famous songs include Are Ye Right There Michael?, The Mountains of Mourne and Slattery's Mounted Foot.
