William Walton ( 1902 - 1983 ) was an English composer. He trained at the Royal Manchester College of Music and subsequently studied with Ernest Ansermet and Ferruccio Busoni. Although best known for his Viola Concerto, he wrote a handful of piano solo pieces and pieces for four hands.
