Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov( 1844 - 1908 ) was a Russian composer. He was one of Russian's infamous 'Five'. He wrote various pieces, fugues, and variations for piano, but most of his works are not performed or recorded. His piano concerto is occasionally played. A transcription of his Flight of the Bumblebee by Sergei Rachmaninov is a favorite encore and showpiece for many pianists.
