Adam Harasiewicz ( 1932 ) was born in Chodziez, Poland. He studied at the Academy of Music in Kraków. He won the 1955 Chopin competition in 1955 which gave his name prominence. He would go on to record the complete works by Chopin and be linked with the composer.
