Georges Catherine ( 1872 - 1958 ) was a French composer and violist. He was a member of the l'Opéra de Paris and transcribed works for violin and piano. He is most known for his transcription of Albeniz's Nellie No. 6 which was performed by the renowned violinist David Oistrakh.
